Major work is to begin on Kernans Award Winning Diner Newtowncunningham early next week to completely revamp the popular Diner and to give it a fresh new look.

Work is scheduled to begin this coming Monday the 30th of September and will take a number of days to complete which means the Diner will be closed for a period of time while the renovations are being complete, however the Deli & Coffee House will remain open as normal.

The excitement amongst the staff was clear to see today as they got a first glimpse of the plans for the new look. “It is going to be fantastic, the Diner team here in Newtowncunningham have been looking forward to this for a while now”, said Kernans Diner Manager Mairead Gallagher.

“It is going to look lovely and we can not wait to see what our customers think of it, the design, décor and colours are all going to be modern and fresh”.

Kernans Diner Newtowncunningham has been the go to place on the busy N13 for decades now building up a great reputation for their all day breakfasts, traditional fish & chips & burgers. A popular location from truck drivers, bus tours to the locals popping in after a busy days shopping.

“It’s going to be a busy week ahead now with the renovations and we will keep you all up to date on our socials with how the revamp is going, I just want to remind everyone that our Deli and Coffee House is remaining open as normal, we apologies for any inconvenience caused, but we hope you will be delighted with our brand new look once completed, said Mairead.
